*Surat EL-Massad Memorization Test: Since it takes two weeks to test students one by one, students will have the option to do the memorization test Sunday 01/31//2016 or Sunday 02/07/2016.

Written test for all will be 02/07/2026.

Last Sunday we read from the book “Easy Steps to Quraan Recitation” pages 22,23, 24 ( letters with Fatha) and we also read page 30.

The homework is to read pages 22, 23, 24, and 30 and finish worksheets page 55, 56, 57. I gave the packet before winter vacation.

I’ve also attached the book here for your convenience.

We start learning about how to connect Arabic letters ( in the beginning , in the middle, and at the end of a word.
In this ayah students should notice the connection of the letters/ or their positions in the words تبت and لهب : letters ت ب that we studied in the classroom.

In this ayah students should notice the two letters that we studied that day د and ر and of course the letter ب that we studied two weeks ago. I highlighted them in this homework as well. By highlighting them, I hope that it starts to make it easier for them to read Qur’an (by noticing letters they’re familiar with) and decode the letters in long sentences or Ayahs.
