Inshalla we’ll have a test in Surat Al Nas. Questions will be like usual.
1. Recitation.
2. Fill in the blank from given word bank.
3. Match the meanings.
4. True or false sentences.I collected the reading books to grade the HW.

Homework Due on Feb 8th, 2015

Read page 64 at least five times and have your parent to sign it.
Find out all the tajweed rules we learned so far.
All hams (H), qalqalas (Q), hard letters (D), hard raa (HR), soft raa (SR), hard laam (HL), laam qamariyah (LQ) and laam shamsiyah (LS).
This HW will be corrected and graded in the class.
Read the story of Surat Al Nas and the explanation of the ayat.
We will have a test on the 22nd inshalla.

We did the reading test today and mashalla most of the kids did great.
Please keep practicing.

1)Read page 51,52 five times each and find out all the following:
strong hams, qalqala, hard raa, soft raa, hard lam.

2)Test in Surat Al Falaq.
Questions are like usual, recitation, fill in the blank from given word bank, connect the vocabularies to their correct meaning and true or false sentences.

Homework Due on Dec 14th, 2014

There will be a test in Surat Al-Ikhlas inshalla.
Questions like usual:
True or false.
Fill in the blank from a word bank.
Connect vocabularies.
And meaning of the ayat.

From our reading book, please read page 35,36 and 37 five times each.

Inshalla in the next term, there will be 20% of the grade for reading.
So please give it a little more of your time.

Test in the out going dua’a. Questions will be fill in the blank, recitation and vocabularies.
Also there will be another part in the test for the tajweed rules we learned so far just like in the previous test.
This is a big chance to make up your grade.
I’ll collect the books next week inshalla as I want the kids to keep them for the test.
We started Surat Al Ikhlas and covered the first two ayas. ( reading, explanation and vocabularies).
Read page 33,34 at least five times each.
Please make sure to correct, sign and return Al Kafiroon test.

    1. Page 27,28,28 circle the letters and label them as follows:
    2. All qalqalas and label them Q
    3. All hams (strongest only) …..H
    4. 3 different hard letters from each page ….D
    5. 3 different soft letters from each page……S
    6. All hard raa ……..HR
    7. All soft raa ………SR.
  2. Keep practicing the outgoing dua’a and study the vocabularies we labeled in class.
The grades will be posted soon inshalla.

Homework Due Nov 9th, 2014

  • Next week (Nov 9th) is the test inshAllah.
  • Finish the Homework Due on Nov 2nd.
  • No new Homework is assigned for this week.
  • We started the outgoing Dua’a. Please remind your children to keep saying it whenever they go out.
The test will be of three parts:
1. Surat Al Kafiroon:
• Fill in the blank from given word bank.
• Connect the vocabularies to their correct meanings. ( the vocabularies that we circled in class)
• True or false sentences from the understanding of the Surat.
2. Oral recitation of the Surat.
3. From the purple book, the Tajweed rules that we learned so far.
Questions will be to circle the word that has qalqala, hams, hard letters and hard Raa.

HW due 11.02.14 as follow:

*From the purple book, read page 24, 25 and 26 at least five times each until mastering them.
Color from all three pages:
•Qalqala letters in light blue.(pen)
•Hard letters in dark blue.(crayon)
Including the hard raa.
•Hams letters with sukoon in any odd color. (Pink, purple or pencil).

*From the short surah book:
Memorize all Surat Al Kafiroon and study the explanation and the vocabulary we circled in class.

*From the colored Quran:
Practice reading Surat Al Kafiroon and pay attention to colored letters. Make sure to read it five times at least. Try to make your child read words from the surah while hiding the adjacent words from both sides. You can also listen to a sheikh reciting the Surat while reading it from the Quraan to know the proper way of saying it.

Please sign all books along with tally marks for the HW to be graded.

TEST is coming November 9th inshalla.

A separate email will be sent regarding the test.
