Homework Due on Oct 26th, 2014

*From the purple book, read page 21, 22 and 23 at least five times each until mastering them.
Color from all three pages:
• Qalqala letters in light blue.(pen)
• Hard letters in dark blue.(crayon). Including the hard raa.
• Hams letters with sukoon in any odd color. (Pink, purple or pencil).

* From the short surah book:
Memorize the first three Ayas from Surat Al Kafiroon and study their explanation.

* From the colored Quran:
Practice reading the first three Ayas of Surat Al Kafiroon and pay attention to colored letters. Make sure to read it five times at least. Try to make your child read words from the surah while hiding the adjacent words from both sides.

Kids are expected to read the Ayat that we learned in order to answer questions on the test of the surah that is coming in November inshaAllah.
A study guide will be sent later this week.

Please sign all books along with tally marks for the HW to be graded.

Please make sure your son/ daughter has all his/her books and school supply.

Homework Due on Oct 19th, 2014

• Short surahs book: read the story of Surat Al Kafiroon and start memorizing the first two ayas.

• The purple book:
Read page 20 five times and color the qalqala  blue and the hams with any odd color (pink, purple, or use a pencil).

Some kids are not practicing reading enough. They can read but it takes them so much time. Please let the kids keep practicing until they become fluent. These are the easy pages in our book.

Remember, reading grades are taken weekly.

Book #4 ( purple) :
Read page 17,18,19 at least 5 times each.
For page 19, color the qalqala letter blue, the strongest hams in regular pencil or any odd color (pink, purple, turquoise).
Random names will be called for reading assessment weekly.
Hams letters are:
ح ث  هـ ش خ ص ف س ك ت
The hams is built in these letters regardless of their tashkeel. However, the strongest hams is found when those letters have sukoon.

Homework Due Sep 28th, 2014

Short surah book:There will be an oral assessment for Surat Al Fatiha which we already reviewed in class.

Book #4 ( purple) :Read page 14 at least 5 times. Color the qalqala letter blue.

Random names will be called for reading assessment weekly.

Homework Due on Sep 21th, 2014

Book #1: Read the explanation of the ayat of Surat Al Fatiha and be ready to participate with what you read.
Book #4: Read pages 11,12,13 five times each. Use tally marks and have a parent signature on each page.
Color qalqala letters BLUE for page 13. Please stick to the color mentioned.
Remember, qalqala letters are ق ط ب ج د and ONLY when they have sukoon on them.
There will be a reading quiz for the above mentioned pages from Book#4.

  • Easy Steps to Quraan Recitation
    •   Read page 8,9 and 10 FIVE times each with a parent signature along with tally marks on each page.
    •   Color the Qalqala letter blue on page 10
  •  Short Surahs book, read page 4.
